Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service set forth the terms and conditions, procedures, and the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Callling (hereinafter “the Company”) and users regarding the AI character chat and voice call services (hereinafter “the Service”) provided by the Company.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Service” refers to all services provided by the Company, including AI character chat, voice calls, and character creation.
- “User” refers to any person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
- “Coins” refers to the virtual currency purchased to use paid features within the Service.
- “Character” refers to a virtual persona capable of conversation, generated using AI technology.
Article 3 (Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms)
- These Terms take effect when posted on the Service or otherwise made available to users.
- The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law, and will provide at least 7 days' notice through the app or website before any changes take effect.
- Users who do not agree with the amended Terms may discontinue use of the Service and delete their account.
Article 4 (Registration and Accounts)
- Users may sign up using social accounts such as Kakao, Google, Naver, or Apple.
- Users must provide accurate information and must not use another person's information.
- The Company may refuse registration or suspend accounts in the following cases:
- Using a false identity or another person's name
- Providing false information
- Interfering with service operations
- Violating applicable laws or these Terms
Article 5 (Service Description)
The services provided by the Company include the following:
- Text chat with AI characters
- Real-time voice calls with AI characters
- Character creation and customization
- Coin purchase and management
- Other services developed or provided through partnerships
Article 6 (Coins and Payments)
- Users may purchase coins through in-app payments, and coins are used to access paid services.
- Purchased coins may be refunded in accordance with applicable laws and app store policies.
- Coins cannot be converted to cash or transferred to others.
- The Company may offer free coins through promotions or events. The validity period and conditions of free coins will be announced separately.
Article 7 (User Obligations)
Users must not engage in any of the following activities:
- Unauthorized collection or use of others' personal information
- Creating or distributing illegal content using the Service
- Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
- Using characters to create content that promotes hate, discrimination, or violence
- Infringing on the Company's intellectual property rights
- Other activities that violate applicable laws
Article 8 (Service Restriction and Suspension)
- The Company may restrict service use or suspend accounts if a user violates these Terms.
- The Company may temporarily suspend services due to system maintenance, equipment replacement, or technical failures.
- Prior notice will be provided for service suspensions. In unavoidable circumstances, notice may be given after the fact.
Article 9 (Intellectual Property Rights)
- All intellectual property rights to content included in the Service (designs, text, software, AI models, etc.) belong to the Company.
- Users retain rights to characters and content they create; however, the Company may use such content for service operation and improvement purposes.
Article 10 (Disclaimer)
- AI character responses are automatically generated, and the Company does not guarantee their accuracy or appropriateness.
- The Company is not liable for actions taken by users based on AI character responses.
- The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure events such as natural disasters, war, or telecommunications provider outages.
Article 11 (Account Deletion)
- Users may request account deletion at any time through the in-app settings.
- Upon account deletion, the user's personal information and service usage records will be immediately deleted, except for information that must be retained by applicable law.
- Unused coins are not refundable after account deletion. Users are advised to use their coins before deleting their account.
Article 12 (Dispute Resolution)
- In the event of a dispute arising from the use of the Service, the Company and the user shall resolve it through mutual consultation.
- If consultation fails, the competent court shall be determined in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act.
